2013 McLaren 12C GT Sprint - Yellow COLOR

           

The track-only model signifies the continued development of the 12C model, and bridges the gap between the 12C, itself fully accomplished on both road and track, and the all-out racing 12C GT3 and 12C GT Can-Am Edition models. It has been designed and developed by McLaren GT, the race car building arm of the McLaren Group, and retains many of the unique systems from the 12C road car, on which it is based.

           

           

           

Built around the lightweight carbon fibre MonoCell chassis, and with developments to systems such as ProActive Chassis Control, (PCC), Brake Steer and the McLaren Airbrake, the latest model from McLaren GT has been honed to deliver a more track-focused GT racing experience whilst retaining the balance and precise characteristics much praised in the road car.

           

Generating 625PS, the optimised 3.8-litre twin turbo engine includes a unique oil system, and cooling system which features a 12C GT3 developed central front radiator. The GT Sprint retains the 12C’s seven speed twin clutch gearbox. Externally, the 12C GT Sprint features optimised aerodynamic and cooling upgrades. At the front is a more aggressive front bumper, GT3-inspired bonnet with radiator exit ducts and front wing louvres. Lowered by 40 mm, the 12C GT Sprint is fitted with track-focused braking system with carbon ceramic (CCM) brake discs. Tyre changes are made easier through an on-board air jacking system and centre-locking 19-inch OZ wheels, shod with Pirelli racing slick tyres. Inside the cabin, the 12C GT Sprint is fitted with an FIA-approved rollcage and integrated fire extinguisher system. A fully adjustable HANS-approved, lightweight composite racing seat fitted with full six-point harness provides the optimum driving position, while an air-conditioning system is retained, albeit a lightweight version, offering added comfort. Further details will be announced in due course, but an initial batch of 20 cars will be delivered in 2013, available from McLaren retailers at a price point below GBP £200,000*.

2013 Inden Design Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Borrasca


Hidden behind the name “Borasca” is the Spanish designation for storm and thunderstorm. And in the case of this gorgeous interpretation of an open Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG by the company INDEN Design, this term fits like a glove, because with his reconstruction, Joachim Inden has conquered the fans of the trademark with the star, by storm.






It was surely not an easy task to modify the design of an almost perfect roadster right from the factory without endangering the proportions and the sense of harmony of the curvy lines of the bodywork. To avoid falling into this trap, Joachim Inden opted for a good number of minor but highly effective modifications of the sophisticated outer shell of the SLS AMG roadster. For an optimized aerodynamics – i.e. more contact pressure at the front – INDEN Design also integrated a new bumper bar in this position in addition to an individual front spoiler lip made completely of high-grade carbon fiber tissue and a new engine hood. The side silhouette of the SLS “Borrasca” stands out not just for its new mud guard with inserts of carbon fibers and black fins but also for the completely new side skirts with rear air shaft. Even in the rear, Joachim Inden has applied exclusive carbon fiber in the new rear apron including diffuser. The processing of exhaust gas is realized through a stainless steel sports exhaust system with flap control, having original AMG end-pipes.






The power of the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG roadster that has been boosted to 635 Horse Power is pressed on the road surface through a set of classical light alloy rims with ten arched double spokes. In combination with a decent lowering of approx. 15 mm, the wheel set fills the wheel houses of the SLS perfectly well in the format 10.5×21 inches for the front and 11.5×21 inches for the rear. INDEN Design has mounted Continental tires in the formats 265/30/21 and 295/25/21 to match.

The Audi A8 hybrid combines the performance of a six-cylinder with the fuel economy of a four-cylinder model. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) takes just 7.7 seconds, and top speed is 235 km/h (146.02 mph). In the standard cycle, the large sedan consumes just 6.3 liters of fuel per 100 km (37.34 US mpg) on average – a CO2 equivalent of 147 grams per km (236.57 g/mile), and easily the best in its class.




For the Audi A8 L hybrid, these figures (all figures provisional) are 7.9 seconds, 228 km/h (141.67 mph), 6.4 liters per 100 km (36.75 US mpg) and 149 grams of CO2 per km (239.79 g/mile). The 75 liter (19.81 US gallon) tank gives both versions a long range.




The Audi A8 hybrid is 5.14 meters (16.86 ft) long and the long-wheelbase Audi A8 L hybrid is 13 centimeters (5.12 in) longer. The body of the Audi A8 L hybrid, which is 13 centimeters (5.12 in) longer, weighs 241 kilogram (531.31 lb). 2013 Acura ILX - Silver COLOR


The Acura ILX will feature three advanced, sporty and efficient powertrain choices, including Acura’s first-ever gas-electric hybrid. The entry-level ILX will be powered by a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 140 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm. Paired with a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission, the ILX 2.0L will deliver an EPA estimated city/highway fuel economy of 24/32 mpg.






For those who seek a more dynamic driving experience, the Acura ILX can be equipped with a 2.4-liter engine with an output of 201 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 170 lb-ft torque at 4,300 rpm. Mated to a close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission, the ILX 2.4L will deliver an EPA estimated city/highway fuel economy of 20/29 mpg.





Marking the debut of Acura’s first ever hybrid model, the ILX Hybrid makes use of a 1.5-liter inline engine and an Integrated Motor Assist® electric motor. Paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the Acura ILX 1.5L Hybrid will deliver an EPA estimated city/highway fuel economy rating of 35/38 mpg. The hybrid drivetrain uses the gasoline engine as the primary power source, while an electric motor provides additional power when needed. A lithium-ion battery pack is used to capture and store electricity for the 20 horsepower electric motor. Together, the gasoline engine and electric motor produce 111 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 127 lb-ft of torque between 1,000-3,000 rpm. During braking, the gasoline engine deactivates and the electric motor acts as a generator to recharge the battery pack. At a stop, the 1.5-liter engine can enter idle-stop mode to save fuel and reduce emissions. The engine remains off until the brake pedal is released.
