The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman, will be fitted as standard with the all-wheel-drive system known as ALL4, and powered by a newly developed four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 211 hp. This new combination assures the driver of extreme driving fun on any terrain. The John Cooper Works Countryman is also the first John Cooper Works model available for order with a six-speed automatic gearbox as an alternative to the standard six-speed manual. With powertrain and chassis technology developed calling on the brand’s vast motor sport expertise built into the first MINI with five doors and four/five seats.

The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman’s engine reaches its maximum output of 211 hp at 6,000 rpm and generates peak torque of 207 lb-ft between 2,000 and 5,600 rpm. The Overboost function briefly pushes this figure up to 221 lb-ft between 2,100 and 5,200 rpm. The manual and automatic versions of the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.1 and 7.5 seconds respectively on the way to a top speed of 127 mph.

The Countryman, MINI’s first five-seater, already shares the racing genes which define the character of every MINI, and now the John Cooper Works polishes these inherent talents to really shine. The new engine brings another hike in output, transferred onto the road with impressive style by the MINI ALL4 all-wheel-drive system. The JohnCooper Works suspension ensures every change in direction is imbued with addictive agility. The MINI John Cooper Works sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 7.1 seconds. While U.S. fuel economy figures are not yet available, average fuel consumption of 7.2 liters per 100 kilometers / 39.2 mpg imp in the EU test cycle represents an outstanding return when you consider the performance on offer (automatic transmission: 8.0 liters/100 km and 35.3 mpg imp).
18-inch Twin Spoke light-alloy wheels with polished spoke fronts and black rim wells are fitted as standard. 19-inch light-alloy wheels – also designed exclusively for the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman – can be ordered as an option.
The global introduction of the MINI John Cooper Works will get under way in autumn 2012.

Four engine variants will be offered for the MINI Convertible Highgate, which will be produced over a limited period at MINI Plant Oxford. The new special edition is due to go on sale worldwide from spring 2012. The MINI Convertible Highgate can be ordered in MINI Cooper (90 kW/122 hp), MINI Cooper S (135 kW/184 hp), MINI Cooper D (82 kW/112 hp) and MINI Cooper SD (105 kW/143 hp) guise. All the engines channel their power through a six-speed manual gearbox as standard or an optional six-speed automatic.

New exterior paint finishes, soft-top colours and wheel designs developed specially for the MINI Convertible Highgate provide the external expression of its exclusive aura. The new body colour Iced Chocolate metallic captures the imagination with its refined and understated basic colour and a special pigmentation that reveals a subtle, bluish lustre under the sun’s rays. In keeping with the theme, the brown soft-top roof also has a light metallic sheen. This distinctive look is further enhanced by brown/black bonnet stripes with blue edging, while Midnight Black metallic or White Silver metallic paintwork can be specified as an option. The exterior mirror caps of the special-edition model are also painted in the body colour. Another feature developed exclusively for the MINI Convertible Highgate are the 17-inch Double Cross light-alloy wheels in a refined, subtly-shaded aluminium colour. The wheels’ spoke arrangement is inspired by the pattern of the Union Jack flag.

Named after the vibrant area west of London’s Hyde Park , the MINI Bayswater showcases the best of the brand’s performance credentials. This hot hatch special edition is available in Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD models.

An eye-catching Kite Blue metallic paint has been created especially for this model, as have the 17-inch light alloy “Sandblast” wheels. They feature a high-gloss black finish with machined rim and spoke edges. The exterior is finished with blue and grey Sport Stripes on the bonnet, from outside the car a blue stripe is on the left and grey on the right, corresponding door mirror caps are coloured in the same way. “Bayswater” lettering adds a touch of class to the side indicator surrounds and door sills. Midnight Black metallic and Eclipse Grey metallic can be ordered as alternative body colours on Cooper S and Cooper SD variants.
The MINI Bayswater’s interior includes the Chrome Line and Chili packages as standard, but other elements are completely bespoke. For example, the Punch Leather seats come in Rocklike Anthracite and include side bolsters sporting a unique metallic sheen with blue and grey contrasting stitching and “Bayswater” seat tags.

Inside is a fresh interpretation of the cloth/leather seats available on the standard MINI Hatch. The diamond-patterned design in stylish Cross Check Rooftop Grey is also used on surfaces around the cockpit and door trim. Contrasting light grey stitching appears on the floor mats, gearstick and handbrake gaiter.

The comprehensive equipment list on the MINI Baker Street includes the Pepper Pack, which means automatic air conditioning, Bluetooth, on-board computer, leather steering wheel, front fog lamps, a multi-coloured interior lighting package and height adjustment for the front passenger seat are all included. DAB digital radio is standard, as it is on all MINIs. The company’s wide range of optional extras will allow owners to personalise the car to their own tastes even further.

2012 MINI Inspired By Goodwood

The MINI INSPIRED BY GOODWOOD is an exclusive special edition of the MINI Hardtop which has been produced in close collaboration with the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars design team, and it will be displayed alongside the new two-seater MINI Coupe which will also be shown publicly in the USA for the first time.

Working with the development center of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England, MINI has produced a limited-run special edition MINI, whose exterior and interior design is complemented by fine materials and the British luxury car marque’s commitment to flawless workmanship.
Deliveries of the 2012 model year vehicle, which will be launched as part of the exclusive “MINI Yours” range of special edition vehicles and options, are scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2012.
Two of the most striking features of the exterior design are the body finish in the exclusive Rolls-Royce color of Diamond Black metallic and 17-inch light alloy wheels sporting a multi-spoke design. Alternatively, the MINI color Reef Blue metallic can be specified.
Inside, the dashboard (including the surrounds of the central instrument and the air vents), the center console, carpet surfaces, the Lounge leather seats, the roof lining as well as the door, side and body pillar cladding boast the exclusive Rolls-Royce color Cornsilk, a warm and natural shade of beige. Only the upper section of the instrument panel is in black.
In terms of Rolls-Royce materials, the MINI INSPIRED BY GOODWOOD includes Lambswool floor mats, a cashmere headliner, fascia and front door grab handles in burr walnut veneer and a sports steering wheel with Walknappa leather and Piano Black controls.
Each MINI Inspired by Goodwood is powered by the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that was featured for the first time in the 2011 MINI Cooper S. This engine includes a Twin Scroll turbocharger, direct injection and variable valve control and generates 181 hp, so the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is completed in 6.6 seconds. A choice of either six-speed manual and automatic transmissions will be offered.
The MINI Inspired By Goodwood will be priced at $52,000 (including $700 D&H), when advanced orders begin later this month.
